About David
Permaculture Land Designer, Regenerative Agriculture Educator, Astrologer
Nearly two decades of experience supporting farmers, homesteaders, and land stewards in restoring soil health, building resilient food systems, and regenerating landscapes.
My life journey is rooted in hands-on experience and a deep reverence for Traditional Ecological Knowledge, cultivated through farming with the Kichwa in Ecuador, the Pehuenche in Chile, and the Zapotec in Mexico. My work has included teaching agroecology in Oaxaca, mentoring Mayan youth in traditional Mayan herbal medicine in the Yucatán, and teaching Regenerative Native Agriculture at Blackfeet Community College and in New Mexico.
I served as the Regenerative Agriculture Lead Instructor at the Center of Excellence for Regenerative Native Agriculture, a program of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. In this role, I provided technical assistance to Native and non-Native farmers and ranchers across more than 16,000 acres, co-designed culturally relevant agricultural curriculum, and co-led regional soil health workshops hosted by the Iowa Tribe, the Comanche Nation, and the Kiowa Tribe.
I am a Certified Permaculture Designer (PDC PRO) through Oregon State University’s Department of Horticulture, certified by the Permaculture Institute of North America (PINA). I hold a Master of Science in Science Education from Montana State University, with a focus on the science of Native food systems, and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems.
